Fort Lupton Trapper’s Days Rendezvous Sponsored by South Platte Valley Historical Society and Tallow river Trappers Public Welcome September 10th thru 12th A wild weekend with Mountain Men, Indian Dancers and Traders. Come see what life was like during the Fur Trade ( 1800- 1840) Pancake Breakfast (Sat.7:00 – 10:00 at Ft. Lupton Fire station) Parade (in Town following pancake Breakfast)
Free activities At Rendezvous Site: Ø Visit a pre-1840 encampment, ask questions and learn about the era Ø See traders and goods of the time period Many handcrafted and unique items for sale See POSTED times for following free events Ø Indian Dancers Ø Try your hand at Throwing a Tomahawk Ø Join in kid’s games and activities Ø Try your hand at shooting a black power rifle Ø Learn to start a fire with Flint and Steel Ø Mountain man Golf Ø Auction of items to help rebuild the Fort Demonstrations Ø Dutch oven Cooking Ø Learn Rope making Ø weaving and spinning Ø Blacksmithing
