Colonial Encampment

 

A Pre-1800 encampment for French & Indian War, Colonials, Long Hunters and Military/Militia.  This event was first held October 2009.

For the 2011 event there will be some new activities for participants.  A timed skills competition will be held for those interested which showcases the skills used by the early colonists and natives.  The entry fee for this event is a blanket prize valued at about $10.  For more information about the Skills Competition.  Also in 2011 a temporary, wood-fired, brick bread oven will be constructed.  

 

 

As in previous years, apple press will be again be available for concocting apple cider.
