Donelson House Teas

"Teas" are held periodically in the Donelson House. These events are modeled after
the English "Afternoon Tea." Originally, the afternoon tea was a light meal taken

For an Afternoon Tea, traditionally, loose tea is served in a teapot with milk and sugar. This was accompanied by various sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastry. The food was often served in a tiered stand.
Donelson House Teas are a social events, lasting from one and one-

Reservations are required for Donelson House Teas. A minimum number of 15 participants is required and due to space limitations in the Donelson house no more than 24 pariticipants can be accommodated. Special teas may be arranged for private parties.
