Facility Rentals

Both the Fort and the Camping areas are available for use by outside groups.

Fort Lupton Rental:  Currently, portions of the Fort are still under construction and rental rates have not been settled.  However, special arrangements can be made to hold your wedding, reception, class or family reunion in this historic setting.  Contact the Special Events Coordinator for details and availability.

Camping Area Rental:  Stay overnight and relax in the peaceful quiet of the Tallow River Trappers camping area.  There are accommodations for primitive camping, modern camping, and RV camping in different areas of the site.

The Rendezvous area is limited to primitive camping.  Lodges, and all exposed equipment and gear used by campers should be pre-1840.

The Modern Camping area is available for those wishing to experience the site without going through the expense of acquiring pre-1840's equipment and gear.  Modern equipment and colors are allowed in this area, with easy access to the primitive area

RV Camping is on the east side of the parking lot. There are ten spaces with 20A electrical plugs.  The RV spaces are "back-in" spaces.

This is an unattended campground with limited facilities.  Treated drinking water is available from the hydrant at the foot of Arnie's Bridge.  Restroom facilities are limited to Hooter's (portable privy's).  There are no shower or laundry facilities on site.  There is no trash removal-if you bring it in, please pack it out.

Camp Fires are allowed in above ground containers available at the site and include ash disposal.  Firewood, in the form of deadfall, can be obtained on site, or you may bring your own wood.

Fees are $35 per group of four for the first night.  For larger groups, or additional nights, please add $2.50 per person per night.

To make reservations or for more information about camping contact the Tallow River Trappers Land Use Coordinator.  You should get a response within 24 hours.
