Independence School Classes: From time to time 1870's classroom sessions have been organized for interested students and teachers. Three sessions of classes are being offered in 2010 for students of all ages starting in June and running through July. For more information and an application form follow this link. Historic Park Tours: Enjoy a leisurely tour of the Fort Lupton Historic Park. The tour takes approximately 2 hours, but can be shortened if necessary. The tour includes the 1875 Independence School, the 1860's Donelson House, and the reconstructed Fort Lupton

Hunter's Widows Rendezvous: This is a special rendezvous for women and children.
Men are not allowed unless they wear a dress and take on the Indian role of Wingkte,
or Berdache. This event is not open to the public as spectators, however, non-
Christmas Dinner and Dance: This social event for SPVHS and TRT members and their guests is held in the Rendezvous Room of the Fort. In 2009 a Contra Band provided period music with instruction for the old dances.
