Trapper Days Rendezvous

The Trapper Days Rendezvous is held the weekend after Labor Day (or depending on your priorities, the weekend before the Hunter's Widows' Rendezvous).  This event is held in conjunction with the town of Fort Lupton's Trapper Days Celebration ( Town of Fort Luptons Official Trapper Days Site).

Early Saturday morning the South Platte Valley Historical Society sponsors a Pancake Breakfast fund raiser as part of the town's celebration.  Later, a brigade of trappers march as part of the Celebration Parade through town.

Days are warm and evenings are comfortable.  Singing and story telling often go long into the night.  As many as 70 camps including  traders and sutlers often are in attendance.  Water and limited wood are available on site.  Campfires must be in above ground fire-pits.

This event is open to the public, however, after 6:00 PM everyone in camp must be in Pre-1840's dress.  Modern campsites are available outside of the rendezvous area.

More information about the 2010 Trapper Days Rendezvous will be posted when available.  To see some of our favorite pictures and images from this event follow this link (no pictures have been submitted yet).
